Neptune in the Community

Neptune Terminal Tours

As a proud member of the North Shore community for 50 years, we continue to play an integral role in Canada’s economy. We host a number of site tours each year, inviting our neighbours, local students and industry members to see our terminal and learn more about our commitment to safe, responsible operations, continuous improvement and our role in the supply chain for Canadian potash and steelmaking coal.

For an inside glimpse into our facilities, operations, and the products we handle, join us for our terminal tours taking place this summer and early fall. Click here to learn more and to register.

Reducing with Climate Smart

As a result of our pledge to continually measure and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), we are extremely pleased to be recognized as a Climate Smart™ certified company. Climate Smart™ is an independent organization based in Vancouver that works with businesses to help measure their GHG emissions and develop a plan for reducing them.

By focusing on minimizing emissions from electricity, heat, transportation, paper consumption and waste, Neptune has been able to reduce its GHG emissions by 21% per tonne of cargo shipped since 2011.  Last month, we were invited to participate in a roundtable event with the BC Climate Action Secretariat, to share our emission reduction story and provide input into how government can encourage other BC companies to take steps to reduce GHGs in their businesses.

Climate Smart™ recently released “200 Million Tonnes of Opportunity,” a report identifying how small and medium-sized businesses can substantially reduce their emissions and drive clean growth. Find out more about our emission reductions here.

Neptune Supports Green Projects

Neptune is proud to support initiatives that align with our core values of community, environment and safety.  We have proudly supported recycling programs for local events including Fun City Festival and Blueridge Community Days, sustainable agriculture projects like North Shore Neighbourhood House’s Edible Garden project, and the Shoreline Cleanup program.

If you run a green initiative that makes North Vancouver a stronger and healthier community for those who live and work here, and would like to talk to us about a partnership, please contact us at

Neptune’s Tent Loaner Program

Did you know we have a tent loaner program? With spring in full bloom and summer around the corner, we are happy to loan our Neptune tents to community and non-profit organizations who would like to use them for upcoming events and festivals. (Note: subject to availability) To inquire about borrowing tents from us, please contact Lisa Dooling at 604-983-4407 or
