Ridgeway School Playground — A Place for All to Play
Ridgeway School has a new playground! This wonderful space pays respect to the natural environment and features five sustainable, custom-designed natural log and rope play pieces, musical elements and accessible surfacing. The play pieces were designed based on ideas generated from Ridgeway staff, family surveys, student brainstorming events, and environmental impact assessments.
Neptune was honoured to be able to close the funding gap so that the project could be built as envisioned and completed for school this fall. “This project would not have been possible without the in-kind and financial support of our partners, including Neptune Terminals, who has been an incredible ally to the Ridgeway community for many years,” Project Lead for Ridgeway PAC, Arieanna Schweber. “When COVID restrictions and scope creep threatened our budget, Neptune stepped into bridge the gap and help keep our project on track. We look forward to welcoming children back to our new playground in September!”
