Strengthening Neptune’s Structure and Enhancing Leadership
Vince Johns joined the Neptune team in June 2024 as Vice President of Asset Management. This is a new role and marks a strategic shift in the organization to consolidate and integrate engineering, construction, asset management, and maintenance.
“If you build it, you have to maintain it,” Vince asserts. “We are working towards a single center of excellence for all of our equipment, bringing teams together and forging an even safer work environment for our staff and contractors.”
Working on the West Coast is also something of a homecoming for Vince. Born and raised in BC, he spent close to 40 years in Alberta, 25 of those working in oil and gas and mining. He is especially happy to introduce his wife and six children to his hometown.
As a longtime volunteer supporting Indigenous youth and Habitat for Humanity, Vince has found the community spirit and generosity of the Neptune family align with his values. “It was such a lovely introduction and welcome,” says Vince. “I participated in the Movember initiative and will definitely be joining other team fundraisers.”
