Strong Start for Soccer

With back-to-school comes the start of fall activities, including the kickoff for many team sports. The North Vancouver Football Club (NVFC) is among the busiest, and most accessible, organizations leading the charge for youth team sports.

“We have a mantra that any child who wants to play, can play,” says Sam Lupton, Director of Operations at NVFC. “Each year we see well over 3,000 youth coming through the sport and one of the best things we offer is low registration fees, or support for fees if needed, plus uniforms, equipment and the chance to be part of a team. In fact, we have not had to raise our fees for over 10 years—and we can do this because of sponsors like Neptune.”

One of the largest soccer clubs in the Lower Mainland, NVFC has over 250 teams, from beginner level to advanced. They offer player development opportunities, camps and more.

This year Neptune is incredibly proud that all NVFC U5, U6 and U7 players will be wearing a jersey with the Neptune logo.

“In addition to health and fitness we believe that our players learn important life lessons from their experience including sportsmanship, the value of connection and resilience,” Sam affirms. “Being part of a team sport also teaches our players how to lose, and how to learn and rally from it!”
